ST. JOSEPH RIVER
Description:
IC streamlined heavyweight chair #2691 at the National NYC RR Museum in Elkhart, IN, painted in NYC colors and named ST. JOSEPH RIVER. Built by Pullman in July 1918 in Lot #4532 to Plan #2931A as IC 88 seat coach #2234, to 82 seat coach #2907 in 1937, then to modernized 52 seat chair #2808 at an unknown date, then streamlined as #2691 in 1947, sold to the CRI&P in 1972 and assigned to MofW service as #196691, later to the National NYC RR Museum.
